Here’s a video my dad took. I crawl up to him and climb him, then go over to the coffee table for the TV remote and an old cell phone. It’s an old cell phone, so nobody cares if I hold it by the antenna and swing it around.

And I can stand up! Only for a few seconds, but I’m learning how to move my feet while I’m standing. Soon, I’ll be able to cruise along tables and ottomans and things.

I’ve been eating a lot more kinds of things. I started eating oatmeal cereal with my fruit baby food, and I like Cheerios a lot. My dad made himself a smoothie with banana, pear, and blueberries, and when I asked him for some he gave it to me! Of course, he drank it from a glass and I ate it with a spoon. But it was good and I ate a lot of it.

I’ve got two teeth trying to come in the top to match my two teeth that are coming in the bottom. They hurt. I’ve been trying to put my mouth on knobs for cupboards and coffee tables and things, but my dad keeps making me stop. He can be a meanie sometimes. I wish my mom wasn’t away on the other side of the world. I miss her a whole lot.

I’m turned ten months today. But I’m sad cause my mommy is going to Candobia and she won’t be back for a whole week. I get to spend time with daddy and Laura a lot, but I’ll miss mommy cause I love her.

I can crawl real fast now, and I can stand up without holding onto stuff. At least for a little while. Now I’ve got to figure out how to move around while I’m standing up. Mommy says I’ll probably be walking before she gets back from Candobia, but daddy said I should wait so that mommy can be there.

Wow - I have been so busy that I forgot to write my nine month birthday blog. I have so much to do now that I find very little time to write. I can crawl really really fast; sometimes so fast that mommy and daddy can’t even catch me. If I see something shiny, its mine. The only people faster than me around here are the little furry ones named Bender and Tonga. I try to catch them all the time, but they know how to jump. I can’t wait until I can jump too!!!

I also finally figured out how to stand up. I don’t know why they all make such a big deal about it - its easy! See mom - no hands! Soon I will be moving while I stand up but for now this is good because I have very little time for anything else.

I mentioned before about how I like to play with my kitty cats. Now I’ve got a couple videos of me playing. For some reason, when my dad uploaded them to YouTube they got real dark and it’s a little hard to see stuff.

The first video is set to Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s Flight of the Bumblebee, and features me playing with the cat while watching my Baby Einstein video. I don’t say much since I’ve got a pacifier in my mouth, but you can see how much fun I’m having playing with the kitty.

In the second video, I’m a lot more talkative. I crawl over and get the cat toy, (I can totally crawl now) then I swing it all over the place while Bender chases it. At one point, I’m thinking of crawling up the leather bench, but it’s hard to do that while I’m holding the cat toy. Did I mention that I can pull myself up to a stand now? And I can balance on my knees without holding on to anything. It’s like kneeling-up. Not quite standing up. But I’ll be standing up and walking soon. I know it.
